For the last 20+ years the majority of my professional life has been in live TV and Radio. I began my career in 1997 on BBC Radio after living overseas for a number of years.
After the millennium turned and the world kept turning, I dipped my toes into the world of music, gigging around London and recording in Abbey Road Studios but wanting to start a family took centre stage so I hopped across into a more settled life in live TV when the opportunity came.
I have always had an interest in people and a fascination with why we do the things we do, what it is that makes us who we are, and how we get to where we're going. For the last few years I have been hosting Inside My Wardrobe, a podcast which explored how to have a deeper connection and ultimately more satisfying experience of life. It was recorded inside the wardrobe, but was also very much about finding who we are beneath the surface.
In 2022 the podcast is coming out of the wardrobe. We've spent 100 episodes talking about finding ourselves, dealing with things from emotional trauma, to abuse, eating disorders, self-sabotage, navigating the menopause and beyond, but it's time to step out and be....
Women What Whistle is about being who we are. We are going to hear from women who have dug deep and found the strength and resilience they didn't know they had, to do brave and hard things. Through their stories, we will continue talking about the hurdles that life puts in our way, and also challenge some of the messages that we've picked up that tell us we can't or shouldn't do, or be what's in our hearts. Then we can all be, women what whistle.
